Food is an essential part of human life. The quality of food impacts health and well being of mankind. Growing awareness of toxic contaminants in food and their health impact has necessitated sophisticated analysis of food & food products.
Food Laboratory at AES meets the requirements of a modern sophisticated food analysis laboratory and has extensive experience in analysis & detection of toxic residual contaminants like Pesticides (chlorinated, organophosphorus, organo-sulfur, carbamates etc) , Heavy metals (arsenic, cadmium, copper, mercury, lead etc.), toxins (like aflatoxins etc.) , Drug residues (sulfonamides, chloramphenicol, antibiotics etc.), Polyaromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH), Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs). Apart from this various quality parameters and nutritional analysis of food products are also carried out.
Complete microbiological examination of food and food products is undertaken in our microbiological laboratory.
For analysis of food and food products internationally accepted methods are used which includes AOAC, BIS, Pesticide Analytical Manual, Residual Analytical Manual etc.
